In October 2018, I was diagnosed with breast cancer when I was only 33 years old. From one day to the next, my own body let me down. I decided to accept my new me and find a look for myself. Even without hair. Wigs were out of the question. But to make up for that, headscarves for sure. But looking for beautiful, high-quality scarves turned out to be more than difficult. And when I did find one or the other scarf after all that looked good on me, I had to realize that tying was an art unto itself.
And that is how ALIVE COLLECTIVE was born. We create handmade headgear made out of breathable materials that are not only a means to an end, but also a real fashion statement. That’s because wearing ALIVE COLLECTIVE means more than just wearing an accessory. It is a sign of solidarity with women who sometimes have to go through a lot of hardships. However, ALIVE COLLECTIVE is meant for all women. For women who for numerous reasons want to wear a headscarf. Be it for fashion purposes, simply because time is of the essence, due to their religion or – as in my case – because of a disease.

We place utmost importance on quality and craftmanship. We know that for many women, our turban caps are an integral part of their outfit and are continuously worn for several hours. For this reason, we pay attention to fabrics that are as breathable and soft as possible, that do not irritate the scalp and do not damage fine hair.
